My friend will be joining a convent in about two weeks, but she won't be a Sister for another nine years, which is when she takes her final vows. Has anyone had a friend who made the same decision, and how did they change when you saw them half a year after they joined?
Hmmm. Good question. My great aunt was a cook nun. I knew a nun who was a physics teacher where I went to college. My wife used to work for a convent. Let's just say taht many of nuns I've been acquainted with really knew how to throw a good party. I never new anyone who was a member of the layety, and then decided to become a nun.

I just hope that this doesn't change her personalitywise. a little nervous for when she comes back for Christmas. Ive decided I'll call her by her new name. She told me that when she enters, she'll have the option of keeping her current name, angela, or changing it. She says she'll change it, because there's already a sister Angela there. lol
I'm grateful I didn't have to call my Aunt anything but Aunt Theresa. Her nun name was a jawbreaker, and I'm not even going to try to spell it.

She told me her aunt is a nun and her name is sister Diminica.
